He has three sons namely Billy, Jimmy and Johnny Blimley.His wife is called Lynne Brimley who is a staunch supporter of cockfighting and enjoys playing poker. He is also a horse-race gambling activist. He was a strong supporter of McCain in the last U.S presidential elections
Brimley’s Career
Brimley started from very rugged experiences including being a ranch hand, wrangler, blacksmith and a body guard. He first entered the movie world in the 60s as a cowboy stunt man. He got little roles in small productions like Gunsmoke.During this time he changed his name to Anthony Brimley.
In 1969, he earned himself a Screen Actors Guild card which enabled him to land small parts in movies like True Grit. Another movie he appeared in is the Lawman in 1971.Around this time he enrolled for membership in Waite’s Los Angeles Actors Theater with an intention of sharpening his skills.
He had a succession of movies but his most successful one was The Natural of 1984 and Cocoon that earned him stardom. He is still on movies.
